Armenia posts 2,9% inflation rate in January
2.6% inflation rate was recorded in Armenia's consumer market in January 2013 compared to the same period of 2012, the head of Price Statistics and International Comparisons Division of RA National Statistical Service said.
“During the reported period, prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) increased by 1,9%, non-foods’ prices increased by 6%, with 2,2% growth in tariffs for services posted,” Gurgen Martirosyan told Feb 1 press conference.
The total number of hotels doubled during 7 years in Armenia
During the last 7 years the total number of hotels almost doubled in Armenia, however the bed capacity increased only around 1.4 times, says the comprehensive research conducted by Ameria CJSC.
The research made in tourism and hotel accommodation industry is aimed at estimating its present state and development dynamics in the country.
A detailed analysis of the available accommodation places in the country showed that during the last seven years, total number of hotels in Armenia almost doubled, however the bed capacity increased only around 1.4 times, which means that more facilities with small number of rooms.

Armenians plan to build two hotels in Kobuleti resort town, Georgia
Armenian investments in georgian travel business. The Armenian businessmen intend to invest $5m in tourist zone of the Georgian Kobuleti resort located on Black Sea coast.
The entrepreneurs have already held a meeting with the representatives of Georgian Economy Ministry, Business Georgia reported. Applications for the construction of two hotels have been already submitted. Presently consultations concerning Anaklia area – seaside resort in Western Georgia, are being held. A total of $2 m is planned to be invested in Anaklia.
At the moment 20 investors are operating in a free tourist zone of Kobuleti which is one of the most popular summer resorts among Armenian tourists.

Russia will export grain with some exceptions
